To the surprise of many, a lot of the beaches in the Nice are made up of wide, rounded pebbles. For those more accustomed to the sand beaches of Bondi, Durbin and California, it takes a little bit of getting used to. The Promenade d’Anglaise, the main street that follows the waterfront along the entire bay of Nice, is also home to a wide pedestrian lane filled with joggers, cyclists and roller blading locals as well as those who have traveled from all over Europe to enjoy the Riviera sun .
