Hey Guys, I'm Anna from NZ. Went on an ultimate European tour last year - had the time of my life! After living in Florence for 10months it was amazing to see a bit more of Europe, can't wait to go back and see everything that I missed,and to revisit my favourite places. I've got the travel bug now, and can't wait to get out travelling again after Universtiy in Wellington, maybe another couple of Contiki Tours! Made some great mates, saw some amazing things and stayed in some amazing places. What an experience.

I used a back pack for my tour, and I was the one laughing all the way to the 13th hotel floor when the elevator broke down, by the time all the others with suitcases got to their rooms I was relaxed with a cold beer and ready to hit the town that night!
Was really annoying having to unpack and repack every time that i needed something from the bottom of my pack, though. You can get packs where the entire front unzips – much like a suitcase. I recommend them.

although it’s quite cold in the tunnels on the way out to the mountain from the cog rail station, out in the snow in July/aug it’s quite balmy! you can do with a tshirt quite easily on a fine day!
Beautiful views on the way up the mountain – cog rail stops several times on the way up at viewing platforms.
Try taking a couple of beers with you – the high altitude really lowers your tolerance!! Easy does it!
